Superfly TNT (lots of wah-wah on the soundtrack by Osibisa, script by Alex Haley) is in a current syndication package and aired on local TV recently in many markets. Tain't Nothin' To-it, another great post, Percy.

This is so right-up-my-alley. After I listen to these, I'm gonna go put "Hell Up in Harlem" in my DVD player and watch Fred waste whitey!

Are these actually the original radio adverts? The voices sound kind of recent -- there's a subtle difference. I could be wrong. There used to be a fellow on the Web who had original adverts like this tape recorded, yes tape recorded, off the radio. I'm trying to hunt him down as he had an original Coffy radio advert along with local times and theatres announced at the end, truly brilliant stuff and I don't know if it's art but I like it.

Okay, postscript to my previous comments. These do sound like the real deal. I listened to them earlier with $200 headphones when I was at work and they just sounded too good, but just now I tried them on my laptop's tinny speakers and realized they sound better. Radio adverts like this need to be heard on tinny speakers to be appreciated -- something is lost via expensive quality accoustics. I think it's comparable to seeing old movies in their original black-and-white versus colorized versions -- it's just not the same thing, and not the way they were intended to be experienced.
