The other day someone, somewhere, on one of the 80 blogs I follow, blogged about a freeware iPod Video converter for Mac that's much faster that Quicktime but I lost the link. Anybody know what that is? Quicktime takes for-freaking-ever. Thanks.
UPDATE: It's iSquint. Up to 5 times faster conversions to .m4v

Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but I used MoviesForMyPod the other day and it worked pretty well (little slow, but pretty well).

I actually think that the best one is Mpeg Streamclip. 1.5.1 has a big handy "ipod" button in the export mp4 window. does the best looking, smallest h.264 encodes.

For the moment I use KarpiSoft iPod Video Converter to convert all my videos for the iPod.
