I believe you're correct on Hy Litt being from Philly... I suspect he was also a DJ. He makes an appearance doing the intro for Marah's song "Christian St." on their record "Kids In Philly." Check that disc out, it's terrific.
Thanks for all the fine video archaeology!

Yup, as a Philadelphian, I can assure you Hy Lit is a Philly DJ. Sadly, I understand he has Parkinson’s. He's no longer DJing on Oldies 98.1 WOGL, I think I heard he had filed an age discrimination lawsuit against them.

Thanks for posting this video. I have not seen this one before and also it is not listed on my Electric Prunes web site.
Any idea of the exact date of transmission so I can add it onto the performances page?
Keep up the terrific work on finding these clips of the Prunes and other garage bands!
Regards...Haydn.

Hy settled out-of-court with a very favorable settlement as I understand it. Check out his website: www.HyLitRadio.com
PS Any chance you could inform how'd ya get ahold of his old TV show footage? Links?
Thanks for the Electric Prunes!

Hey, I see you found one of my TV show video tapes. I certainly remember the Electric Prunes. It was an exciting time for the new ‘Underground Sound’ that was happening at the time. As I used to say, the Hy Lit Show hits the spot and spot's the Hits.
