One of my favourite facts about myself that I like to tell people is that the first 2 concerts I ever saw were, Seals & Crofts AND Seals & Crofts. First at the Yale Bowl (Anne Murray opened) & then about a year or less later at the New Haven Coliseum (Melissa Manchester opened that one). After the Coliseum show they invited folks to stick around for a discussion about their religion, Bahai. Me & my mom didn't stay. Oh yeah, my 3rd concert ever was the (pre-disco) Bee Gees. They were awesome.

Anne Murray opening! Why did I never put those two together?

I can't say that it's the first concert I ever went to (I must be a lot older than you) but I saw the Bee Gees right at the start of their comeback (when "Jive Talkin' was released) and they WERE awesome. I also saw Seals and Crofts at a Bahai convention. The opening act was their "brother" act, England Dan and John Ford Coley. I'll bet Anne Murray was better.
