Reposted by request: Angel, Angel, Down We Go a k a Cult of the Damned
This is written and directed by this guy Robert Thom who also wrote "Wild In The Streets" among others. This movie is pretty (make that very) fucked up (but in a good way!). Think "Wild In The Streets" Meets "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls". As in "Wild In The Streets" Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil wrote the songs.
It's the 1st song in the movie. I love it when the "rich fat girl" character looks at the Pseudo-Jim Morrisson characters' crotch and she gasps and runs away!

yeah, this is really funny but the music is some of the worst I have ever heard in my life. Mann/Weil were obviously having an Ed Wood moment.

I saw this film on one of the "old movie" cable channels (Fox Movies maybe?) a few years ago as "Cult of the Damned." Pretty much my only memory of it now was the line, "I bet you think I'm kinky, right?" that the Hoodoo Gurus used to open the song "Miss Free Love of 1969" with. It was too weird to leave a lasting impression but I would still love to see it again.

This gem is on netflix streaming!! Just do a search for 'Guyana: Cult of the Damned" it's on under that title/poster by mistake. But it's been retouched and has a great day glo color restoration. It looks fabulous!!! I think the music is hilarious and awesome
