The Pretenders on "Fridays"
"Message Of Love" and "Louie, Louie" on ABC's Comedy Show "Fridays" which seems like it will never have an official release (Damn that racist Michael Richards!).

I haven't for the life of me been able to figure out what the Friday's licensing problem is. Is it that Michael Richards was the only one who *did* or *didn't* get a future formats clause (or whatever it is)?

The Wikipedia says
"No DVDs have been released yet from the series, reportedly because Richards was the only cast member who had the right to approve any home video releases from the series written into his contract. To date, he has not signed off on a DVD release, though some clips of Richards on Fridays appear on the Seinfeld Season 3 DVD."

At least they should release a DVD comp of the musical performances. The Clash's 4 songs killed when they were on,and does anyone remember when the Jam played Private Hell?!
The show was rather weak, but the musical guests were always insanely amazing.

Theres another Pretenders clip on this site that I like even better from their earlier days (yep, "before everybody started dying" to be sure!)
This doesn't seem to come up in a search on this blog for some reason. I remembered seeing it here but it took me a couple of hours to find it again...
(but this is kinda like getting lost in the worlds coolest museum, so not that I'm complaining!)
anyway, here is the link:

PS Thank You so much for this blog... so many memories almost lost forever buried in history
