I just read a book about a guy reminiscing about his childhood and he enotes that toys that first came out in the 50's were total crap. They made them look great in the ads, but they just sucked. I mean, did anyone use a Slinky after about two minutes and you (maybe) got it to go down one step? See also: Erector Sets; Lincoln Logs; and Mr. Potato Head.
