I remember when Roddy recorded this in Boston, where I was living at the time (playing bass in Dumptruck). I got to attend a bunch of the sessions produced by Michael Jonzun of The Jonzun Crew ("Pac Jam"). I know that it was recorded for a film soundtrack (somehow I remember Kelly McGillis was one of the stars) and then rejected. Roddy put it on Aztec Camera's Love LP and ironically it went on to become one of their biggest hits.

Still Dig Aztec Camera's version of Jump. And man! I used to love Dumptruck, Scruffy The Cat, and The Incredible Casuals among other local favorites when I was living in Boston and working as the art director for Patrick Lyons - Venus de Milo, Axis Bills and Citi. I'm still looking for a cool shot of the Venus with the neon hula-hoop - know anyone that might have one?
Been digging your blog for 5+ years and commented a few times - funny that I've seen you play live at least twice!
Peace,
HMK
