Bill goes flyin' SO HIGH when he's stoned!!! This is classic Shat. I also enjoy the manner in which he "sings" this; he seems to get waaay behind the music due to his pregnant pauses, then he induces lyrical labor and rallies as the band brings it all together. It's that tension that really makes this amazing to me.
Thanks for posting this again; it was actually the first post I ever saw here at Bedazzled and I commented on it back then as well. I don't know how many times I have watched it since. Enogh to come up the BS I wrote above.

Shatner's music has not only amused for me years, but it still leaves my confused... which I love. By now everyone (and him) is in on the joke, between the Golden Throat collections and his recent recordings...but despite that these nuggets are still so weird. What emotion is he going for? What the hell was he thinking? It's still so amazing.
