oh, man! no wonder brian became such a mess, poor bastard. i knew his father was a twisted s.o.b., but i never heard him in action until this. at least brian tried to stand his ground with him ("are you leaving now?"). and you're right, the cartoons were a needed bit of comic release after hearing that passive aggressive badgering from the old man.
