I first noticed Mareva Galanter as the host of a French Scopitone TV Show called "Do you Do you Scopitone". After watching about 10 episodes I decided that I might have a big crush on her and should give her a search. Boy, am I glad I did.
It seems that Mareva is a recording artist (she plays the Ukelele-it's adorable) and the star of some incredibly "vintage" looking "Scopitones". Others have tried to ape the look before, but her "Scopitones" look exactly like the original French ones. I think she even uses some locations that were featured in old Scopitones.

Thanks for this post ; the scopitones stuff are not the only skill of Mareva. Actually, Mareva Galanter has been Miss France in 1999.

Thank you for this selection. It could be the french pendant to Mad Men.
It's interesting to know that Mareva Galanter is also the companion (or wife, who cares) of french couturier Jean Charles de Castelbajac. He was linked to the underground musical scene, it's no wonder they find a common interest in this retro ironic faux scopitone videos.
She is quite well known for being more than just a beauty queen.
