"The Rain, the Park & Other Things" & Medley ("Monday, Monday,", "Sweet Taking Guy," "Lonesome Me," "Please Mr. Postman" & "Reach Out"). I love how they don't really get the vocal mics going till halfway through the first song. This is The Cowsills people! This is so friggin' great. I remember seeing this appearance, and became an instant Cowsills fan. The microphone snafu didn't seem to faze them one iota. They literally killed.
Check out how little Susan and mom came running back on stage during the last song. It looks like someone had to take a quick bathroom break before the set concluded.
Many many thanks for posting this clip.

This is really good! You also get a glimpse of what the band was like before mom and baby sis joined. The band originally consisted solely of four brothers: Billy, Bob, Barry, and John who got their start playing cover songs at clubs and frat parties in their native R.I. That's how they got discovered.
If the brothers had their way then it would have always been them with no mom or Susan. However, when their first singles failed to chart both their producer and father insisted that mom sing with them on the harmonies for their next single in the hope that her voice might be the extra ingredient to push them over the top. That single was "The Rain, the Park, and Other Things" which indeed made them pop stars. So the brothers were stuck with mom.
Their mood didn't exactly brighten when their cute-as-a-button baby sister was made part of the band for no other reason than she was cute-as-a-button.
Billy, Bob, Barry, and even Susan all later admitted that the brothers were not happy singing on stage with mom and kid sister.
Yet here they are looking like the perfect happy singing family!
