I'm gonna be VeeJaying this event, playing videos by Wally's favorite bands. I'll also be singing a couple of songs. Link.
On Saturday, September 4th at Café Nine (250 State St., New Haven, CT), local musicians celebrate the life, music, and love of a fallen friend, Wally Gates. Gates was a well-respected musician/songwriter from New Haven, CT, who passed away in December of 2009. These friends and musicians who knew Wally will pay tribute to him in the best way they know how; by performing an evening of his favorite music.
The benefit event will feature some great classic rock and power pop songs from bands that Wally loved, in addition to some of his own songs written for One Hundred Faces (OHF). Performers will include members from some of New Haven’s finest bands including One Hundred Faces, The Gravel Pit, Malachi Krunch, The Mockingbirds, Bleached Black, Dean and the Dragsters, and many other special guests to be announced.Wally Gates was a respected and dedicated musician/songwriter/produc
The show will begin at 8:00pm at the Café Nine, on Saturday, September 4th. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased in advance through Café Nine (www.cafenine.com).
