"For some unknown reason (probably as simple as the wrong master being sent out), a few countries in europe received an alternate take of this track- peppier, a few seconds longer and in my opinion even better than the more commonly released British version. This is from the Swedish release, and it shows yet another side of the genius of this legendary group." via dereksdaily45.blogspot.com
Some amazing rare footage from French TV. The last 24 minutes or so of the March 31st episode of the French TV show "Age Tendre et Tetes de Bois" features live footage from the Cavern Club in Liverpool. It starts out with a little "News" feature on The Beatles and Beatlemania that is very cool as well.

Ward Dotson's Liquor Giants, a band I was in briefly in their NYC incarnation. One of the most under-appreciated Pop bands of the last 20 years or whatever. Like a much poppier Paul Westerberg. Great melodies, lyrics, playing and production.

What a beautiful "prop" - "One of the laced, frilly books of odes held and read by Kovacs during the 'Percy Dovetonsils' moments on his many TV shows and specials. Donated to the Hollywood Entertainment Museum, by his widow Edie Adams, and later sold for charity." via www.yourprops.com
God I love these guys. Even if they did just record the same LP 4 or 5 times. One of my 5 Favorite bands of the last 20 years, saw them twice live and they sounded amazing, although they didn't look very...happy. Buy The La's (Deluxe) [Extra tracks, Import]
