It was April of 67. The Summer of Love was in full swing and Denny Laine, late of the Moody Blues, donned the obligatory kaftan, grew a trippy little mustache, and slipped on a pair of groovy Granny Takes A Trip glasses, channeled his best McCartney look and released "Say You Don't Mind". Deram DM 122 was a great record, but it didn't bother the charts, sadly. After The Moody Blues, Denny formed The Electric String Band with Trevor Burton, from The Move, and Viv Prince, from The Pretty Things, so they 'may' be on this record. But for Denny, Wings was ahead. 5 years later, Colin Blunstone took this song to #15 in the UK
