The Era of Instrumental Surf music (the Only genuine Surf rock music, incidentally...) has got to be the Golden Era of the Electric Guitar : That's when an electric guitar Really sounded like a guitar (before all the special effects and device pedals blurred it off!)... And what better way to reconcile with the original sound of an Electric Guitar than listening to Sundazed TOP "Lost Legends of Surf Guitar" compilation series (probably the BEST of the genre, with the sound masterly remastered from the Master Tapes - whenever available, I guess... - by Bob Irwin!)?
This first track of the first volume has gotta be a KILLER introduction :
