Reposted by request: Angel, Angel, Down We Go a k a Cult of the DamnedThis is written and directed by this guy Robert Thom who also wrote "Wild In The Streets" among others. This movie is pretty (make that very) fucked up (but in a good way!). Think "Wild In The Streets" Meets "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls". As in "Wild In The Streets" Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil wrote the songs.
It's the 1st song in the movie. I love it when the "rich fat girl" character looks at the Pseudo-Jim Morrisson characters' crotch and she gasps and runs away!"Angel Angel Down We Go".mov"Angel Angel Down We Go".m4v

Pop on over to The World Of Kane for a little blog post (including some classic MP3s) about one of my favorite soft-rock singer-songwriters, Paul Williams.
"The diminutive genius behind the soundtrack to 'The Muppet Movie' and 'Bugsy Malone'; you may recognise Paul Williams from his acting roles in 'Phantom of the Paradise' and the 'Smokey and the Bandit' movies.""Co-writer, with Roger Nichols, of the Carpenters' most melancholy ballads ('We've only just begun' originated from a commercial for a bank); he played himself on the 'Dexter Laboratory' episode 'Just an Old Fashioned Lab Song' and provided the voice for the Penguin on 'Batman: The Animated Series'.Mr Williams, I salute you!" I had the great pleasure of seeing Ennio Morricone Live At Radio City Music Hall this past saturday night in his first US Performance ever (!). I've never seen so many musicians and singers on a stage at the same time before (something approaching 200 I think). The renditions were very faithful to the originals. It was so amazing hearing classics like "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly" with that huge orchestra and chorus. If you ever have a chance to see The Maestro live- do not miss it.Ennio Morricone at the IMDBMorricone entry at The World of KaneMondo Morricone Blog
